On 9/16/09, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security and International Law approved, by a voice vote, a bill (H.R. 3290) which would provide permanent residency to spouses and children of undocumented immigrants who died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The September 11 Family Humanitarian Relief and Patriotism Act of 2009 (H.R. 3290) will now head to the full Judiciary Committee for consideration.
