Reid Trautz is the Director of the AILA Practice and Professionalism Center, where he provides ethics guidance and practice management information and consulting services to AILA members to help them improve their businesses and the delivery of legal services to their clients. Over the past decade, Reid has helped thousands of lawyers solve their most difficult and pressing practice issues with innovative, ethical and practical solutions. Prior to his focus on the business of practicing law, Reid was a partner in a five-lawyer firm in Alexandria, Virginia.
Reid is a nationally recognized advisor, author and presenter on practice management issues, including business process improvement, law practice technology, attorney-client communications, ethics, and risk management. He is co-author of The Busy Lawyer’s Guide to Success: Essential Tips to Power Your Practice, and is a frequent contributor to legal publications nationwide. He is a highly-regarded CLE presenter at AILA and legal conferences nationwide.
Reid is an active member of the ABA Law Practice Management Section, currently serving as a member of the ABA TECHSHOW Planning Board. He is also a member of the governing council of the ABA Law Practice Management Section.
He is admitted to the bars of Minnesota, Virginia, District of Columbia, and the US Supreme Court.
