Every year, the AILA National office opens its doors to members and nonmembers alike for a day filled with informational sessions and discussions. A special law student and recent graduate roundtable brings experienced attorneys together with the next generation of immigration law practitioners to offer advice and guidance.
National Day of Action (NDA)
AILA members come to Washington, DC, to speak with members of Congress about the need for immigration reform. Those who cannot make it to DC also attend meetings in their own districts. Wherever you are on NDA, we hope you are voicing your opinion and advocating for your professional future.
At AILA's Annual Conference, law students and recent graduates are invited to attend a panel discussion led by immigration law experts. After the discussion concludes, attendees are invited to participate in any of the practice roundtables and to check out the Exhibit Hall. Law student members can even apply for scholarships to attend and volunteer at the Conference.
AILA National organizes a roundtable discussion every fall, open to all law students and recent graduates interested in the selected specific topic within immigration law. Join us to hear more from the experts!
Events are happening in cities throughout the nation! If you are hosting or attending an event, utilize the Law Student Member listserv to tell your peers about upcoming events. The listserv offers a great opportunity for you to network and to see what other students are doing around the country. Let us all know what's happening!
