NASHVILLE, TN - The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) will award Linda Rose with the 2012 Susan D. Quarles AILA Service Excellence Award in recognition of her outstanding service, over a period of years, in advancing the mission, development, and value of AILA for its members and the public it serves. She will receive the award today during AILA's Annual Conference in Nashville, TN.

Ms. Rose's service leadership to AILA and to her community is second to none. She has practiced immigration law for twenty-five years and provided 14 years of service to the AILA Board - two as MidSouth Chapter Chair and 12 as a nationally elected Board member. During this time, she has served AILA's more than 11,000 members with distinction. Like many women, she had to balance AILA leadership with parenthood. But she did so with style, at times with her three year old daughter sitting on her lap at the Board table.

Considered one of AILA's top writers and speakers, Ms. Rose's Continuing Legal Education (CLE) sessions are in high demand. She is an outstanding speaker that strives to make her CLE courses fun and unique and she has regularly been called upon by AILA and other professional bar associations including the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association, and the Lawyer's Association for Women to present on immigration CLE subjects. She has authored multiple articles over the years, including co-writing the leading article on wage issues in the labor certification process "Prevailing Wages Under PERM - How To "Do The Right Thing," which is in AILA's PERM manual.

Ms. Rose has distinguished herself in her many years of volunteer service to AILA. She has taken on these roles enthusiastically, juggling both her professional and personal responsibilities with her AILA service, and doing it with style, grace, and a little bit of humor.
