  • King County, Washington Passes ICE Detainer Ordinance(596 KB - 12/3/2013)
    Ordinance 2013-085, passed five to four by King County, Washington (Seattle) stating the County will only honor ICE detainer requests for individuals that have been convicted, not simply charged, with serious, violent, sex and gun crimes, or two or more serious traffic (primarily DUI) offenses.

  • California Immigration Bill (AB 1159) Signed Into Law(547 KB - 10/7/2013)
    California bill (AB 1159) signed into law by Gov. Edmund Brown, Jr. on October 5, 2013. AB 1159 would impose various restrictions and attorney-client obligations in the event Congress enacts comprehensive immigration reform.

    California bill (AB 60) signed into law by Gov. Edmund Brown Jr. on October 3, 2013. AB 60 extends the legal right to drive by directing California DMV to issue a driver’s license to undocumented persons who can prove identity, California residency, and other licensing requirements.

  • Illinois DREAM Act (SB 2185) Signed Into Law(125 KB - 8/1/2011)

  • Georgia Follows Arizona’s Lead, Passes Strict Immigration Bill(85 KB - 5/26/2011)
