Submit Your Questions on I-9 Compliance and ICE Worksite Enforcement

Do you have I-9 compliance and worksite enforcement related questions for the government? AILA's Verification and Documentation Liaison Committee is in the process of setting up liaison meetings with four agencies who handle worksite matters. The committee meetings focus on the following topics:

  • Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI): Matters relating to I-9 audits and enforcement including Notice of Inspection, Notice of Suspect Documents, Notice of Intent to Fine, questions about technical/procedural errors.
  • USCIS Verification Division: Matters relating to E-Verify, the M-274, Form I-9 completion, I-9 Central, I-9 regulations
  • Department of Justice, Office of Special Counsel (OSC): Matters relating to discrimination in the hiring process including issues related to I-9 and E-Verify
  • Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer (OCAHO) - legal decisions and guidance regarding worksite enforcement
