  • Erroneous Rejections of Concurrent Filings by TSC (10/25/2005)
    AILA has received a number of reports of concurrently filed I-140/I-485 packages with current priority dates being erroneously rejected by the Texas Service Center. AILA's TSC Liaison Committee has discussed the problem with the service center, which acknowledges that they were rejected in error and asks that they be re-submitted.

  • TSC Advises that It Will Now Use DHL Instead of FedEx Pick-Up Service (10/12/2005)
    Morris Whitacre of the TSC confirmed to AILA this morning that the USCIS contract for pick-up services with FedEx expired on 9/30/05. A new contract with DHL went into effect 10/1/05. As such, it is advised that DHL, and not FedEx, be used when sending return envelopes to the TSC. AILA is in the process of confirming whether this also applies to the other Service Centers.

  • Rejections of I-140s by Texas Service Center (8/8/2005)
    Numerous AILA members have reported having labor certification-based I-140s erroneously rejected by the Texas Service Center on the basis that the approved labor certification was on Form ETA 750 rather than ETA 9089. After being contacted by AILA's TSC Liaison Committee about the problem, Texas Service Center has corrected it.
