    EOIR proposed rule to amend regulations to require registration of attorneys and representatives as a condition of practicing before IJs and the BIA.   • DOJ Exempts FBI’s National Crime Database from Privacy Act’s Accuracy Requirements (3/26/2003)

  • DOJ Continues Reorganization of 8 CFR, Conforming Internal Citations (3/5/2003)
    DOJ has issued a final rule effecting technical amendments to internal citations in new 8 CFR Chapter V (8 CFR was reorganized in a 2/28/03 rule to reflect the transfer of INS to Department of Homeland Security and the retention of EOIR within DOJ). (68 FR 10349, 3/5/03)

  • DOJ/INS Withdraws B Regulation (3/4/2003)
    The rule finalizing the controversial regulation proposed on April 12, 2002, relating to the admission of individuals under B status, has been withdrawn from OMB, where it was being processed for publication. It is unknown whether the rule will be revived by DHS.

  • DOJ Implements Flight Training Candidate Checks Program (2/28/2003)
