USCIS Service Center Operations confirmed today that it has instructed the service centers that all filings POSTMARKED today (Tuesday, October 25th) will be processed under the old fee structure. All filings postmarked after this date will be subject to the new fee structure.

With visa numbers retrogressing in some categories, USCIS will not adjudicate I-485s for which the priority date is no longer available. Thus, please do not submit requests for the liaison committees to inquire about the status of these cases. The answer will be that, due to retrogression, the case is in abeyance.

While USCIS has indicated that a notice regarding filing for the additional 20,000 H-1Bs for U.S. advanced degree graduates will be issued "soon", USCIS indicates that it is not yet accepting these applications. Information in this regard will be posted to InfoNet as soon as it is recieved.
