  • DOJ IG Conducts Audit of INS’s Rehiring of Federal Retirees (3/19/2003)
    DOJ Inspector General has conducted an audit of the rehiring of federal annuitants by the legacy INS. INS was granted emergency authority to rehire these federal retirees beginning in FY 1996. Audit found that INS had not developed an effective plan to reduce its dependence on rehired annuitants.
