NEXUS Joint Enrollment Center Opens in Lansdowne, Ontario

GOES Web Site Now Available in Spanish
On 12/3/09, CBP announced that the Global Online Enrollment System (GOES) Web site has been enhanced to facilitate the Trusted Traveler Program application process for Spanish-speaking travelers. Trusted traveler programs provide expedited CBP processing for pre-approved, low-risk travelers and include NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST and Global Entry. AILA Doc. No. 09121466.

CBP Launches H-2A/B Temporary Worker Exit Pilot Program in Arizona

On 12/8/09, CBP launched an exit pilot program for H-2A/B temporary workers at San Luis and Douglas land ports of entry in Arizona, which is expected to last approximately one year. To verify final departure from the U.S., H-2A/B temporary workers will be required to scan their visa, scan their fingerprints and return their I-94 form at an exit kiosk. AILA Doc. No. 09121132.

CBP Responds to False H1N1 Vaccination Requirement Rumor

CBP Announces Changes for Commercial Frequent Traveler Program Members

Transition to U.S. Immigration Law Begins in the CNMI

On 11/28/09, the immigration laws of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) were replaced by the INA and other U.S. immigration laws. CBP Announces Relocation of NEXUS Enrollment Center to Fort Frances, Ontario Canada

San Diego CBP Reminds Travelers to Obtain I-94 Permit Early During Holiday Season

On 11/17/09, CBP San Diego announced anticipation of an increase in applications by Mexican travelers for the required I-94 permit during the upcoming holiday season. Effective 10/27/09, CBP is opening a new NEXUS Enrollment Center in Calais, Maine. The hours of operation will be 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. US-VISIT Results in Apprehension of Imposter at Border

CBP Works with Air Carriers to Update Visa Waiver Agreements

CBP will begin working with air carriers that provide service to Guam and the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands to update their visa waiver agreements. Border Patrol Begins Construction on SBInet Technology on Northern Border

U.S. Border Patrol began construction 9/2/09 on the deployment of eleven Remote Video Surveillance Sites in Detroit as part of a CBP initiative to enhance the use of technology in securing the northern border against illegal cross-border activity. CBP Expands Global Entry to Philadelphia International Airport

CBP Begins Construction on SBInet Technology on the Northern Border
