    Final judgment and permanent injunction against Just for People, Inc. for perpetrating an immigration fraud scheme in violation of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Penalties include $480,000; $245,773 in attorney fees and costs; and $195,325 in restitution. AILA Doc. No. 13051343.
  • Minnesota State Court Decision on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status(530 KB - 1/15/2013)

  • Michigan Court of Appeals on Driving With Foreign License(469 KB - 5/16/2012)

  • Complaint against Infosys Brings B-1 in Lieu of H-1B under Fire(854 KB - 5/25/2011)
    Civil complaint filed in the Circuit Court of Lowndes County, Alabama against Infosys Technologies, alleging that the company illegally employed B-1 visa holders on company projects in an effort to avoid the restrictions and limitations of the H-1B program. AILA Doc. No. 11052567.
  • Minnesota Court Says Padilla v. Kentucky Applies Retroactively(296 KB - 5/18/2011)

  • Court Orders Arizona to Pay Attorney's Fees in Action Involving Sheriff Arpaio's Deputy(310 KB - 7/19/2010)
    This 10/30/09 AZ court order awards attorney’s fees to defendants in State v. Theilen, who were arrested and removed by a Deputy of Sheriff Joe Arpaio for clapping during a Maricopa County Board of Supervisors meeting. The order calls this “an extreme case.” AILA Doc. No. 10071939.
