  • DOL Reiterates "No Expedite" Policy for Labor Certifications (10/4/2004)
    Memo from William Carlson, Chief, Division of Foreign Labor Certification, informs certifying officers that requests for expedites must be denied, and applications processed in filing date order. However, particular types of cases, such as RIRs, may be queued and processed in order within that queue.

  • California EDD To Seek Confirmation that Labor Certification Applications Are Still Active (1/26/2004)
    The California SWA announces that, as of 2/4/04, it will send out "preassessment letters" as a first step in processing regular labor certification cases. The purpose of the letters is to confirm that the case is still active before worktime is invested in reviewing the case.
