  • Announcement of 2006 Adverse Effect Wage Rates for Agricultural and Logging Workers (3/16/2006)
    DOL announces the 2006 AEWRs for temporary or seasonal nonimmigrant alien workers to perform agricultural labor or services (H-2A) or logging (H-2); allowable charges for 2006, that employers seeking H-2A workers and H-2 logging workers may levy when the employer provides three meals a day; and maximum travel subsistence reimbursements.   • Labor Certification Substitution Rule Back on the Move (2/10/2006)
    A proposed rule that would eliminate substitutions on labor certification applications, impose a 45-day deadline for filing an I-140, and add enforcement measures was re-submitted to OMB on 2/2/06 and cleared that same day. It had been cleared by OMB once before, in 8/05, and sent to DOL for signature.
