  • TRAC Report: Immigration Case Backlog Continues to Grow (5/25/2010)
    Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) issued a report finding that the number of cases awaiting resolution before the immigration courts reached 242,776 matters at the end of March 2010. The average length of time cases have been waiting increased to 443 days.

  • TRAC Report on the $24 Billion Spent by ICE (2/19/2010)
    TRAC released a report which analyzes ICE records about detainees from FY2005 through the first quarter of FY2010. The report found that funding increases by Congress contributed to a 64% increase in the number of individuals ICE detained from FY2005 to FY2009.
