From the Nebraska Service Center:
Good morning.
I only received one question for the teleconference scheduled next week on Student/School and Other issues. As there was only one agenda item, the call scheduled for June 14 has been cancelled. We will resume the teleconference schedule on July 12; the topic will be Business.
The question that was received asked how to expedite an I-765 application. The expedite process is as follows:
The best course of action is to contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. The NCSC will take a “service request” and forward your expedite request to the office with jurisdiction over the application.
Please note that all expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and should meet at least one of the expedite criteria outlined on the USCIS website. These criteria are:
- Severe financial loss to company or individual;
Extreme emergency situation;
- Humanitarian situation;
- Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States;
- Department of Defense National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from an official U.S. Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government.);
- Potential loss of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits;
- USCIS error; or
- Compelling interest of USCIS.
