AILA National Day of Action is your opportunity to hit the halls of Congress and bring your experience and insight from the field to Washington, DC. With lobbying training from AILA National staff and with hundreds of other AILA members from across the country this is your chance to educate Members of Congress and their staff about the problems plaguing our immigration system so that they can be more effective in crafting, promoting, and supporting legislative solutions. Working together AILA members bring unique insight and perspective on the practice and practicalities of immigration law that Congress just can't get from anywhere else.

In addition to our annual D.C. based Lobby Day, we are planning a truly national advocacy outreach effort-from Maine to Washington state, Hawaii to Alaska, and every US region around the globe. On March 29th, 2012 and the following weeks while Congress is in recess AILA members from across the country will continue those conversation about real solutions for immigration reform in district.

*Meetings with members of Congress and congressional staff will occur throughout the day. Please give precedence to these meetings and feel free to attend the lunch and other events on a drop-in basis in between your scheduled lobbying meetings.
