AILA Doc. No. 11062966 | Dated July 6, 2011
The DOS Liaison committee has received information from the Visa Office regarding the "intern" e-mail communications from the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi. The Visa Office states these types of messages are consistent with "validation studies" where posts check on the status of previously issued visas in certain categories to check on compliance rates and review to identify any potential fraud concerns. These projects are done randomly where resources permit and are normally projects given to summer interns.
Members are encouraged to continue to send the DOS Liaison committee reports of these messages at firstname.lastname@example.org
