Legislation Moving Through Congress tracks legislation actively moving in Congress, including bills AILA endorses and is mobilizing our members to support. A full list of AILA’s positions on legislation and information about each bill can be found on AILA’s Advocacy Action Center.
Now the Senate must act and bring these bills up for a vote. AILA urges swift passage of both bills.
Polls consistently show that Americans overwhelmingly support the legalization of people living in the United States without legal status. In fact, 80 percent of Americans support permanent legal status for all unauthorized immigrants and more than 60 percent support a path to citizenship for all unauthorized immigrants.
AILA supports several bills in the 117th Congress that would provide permanent legal status and a path to citizenship for all unauthorized immigrants including Dreamers, recipients of TPS and DED, farmworkers, and essential workers.
