Attorney General Sessions Announces $98 Million To Hire Community Policing Officers

DOJ announced $98,495,397 in grant funding through its COPS Hiring Program, which provided funding to 179 law enforcement agencies across the nation and allows those agencies to hire 802 additional law enforcement officers to address specific crime problems through community policing strategies.
