WASHINGTON, DC - The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is proud to be named one of the 50 Great Places to Work by The Washingtonian magazine. AILA was chosen for the prestigious mention out of hundreds of companies in the DC metro area. Winners were selected based on the results of surveys completed by their employees who responded to questions regarding work/life balance, professional development, workplace collegiality, and organizational commitment to charity and community.

"It's our staff that makes AILA a great place to work," said Crystal Williams, the Executive Director of the association. "We are lucky to have a team of thoughtful people who are excited to contribute to our mission and the nearly 12,000 members of our association," said Williams.

This is the seventh time that The Washingtonian magazine has chosen Great Places to Work in the Washington, DC area. The contest is open to all industries and workplace sizes.

"To me, AILA is an encouraging work environment plus it's an opportunity to interact and collaborate with members who make a world of difference to thousands of lives each day. It's truly humbling to be part of a great organization and an even better cause," said AILA's Manager of Component Relations, Paul Leahy.

AILA was named an honorable mention Great Place to Work by The Washingtonian magazine in 2005 and 2007.
