CAMPBELL WALKER INSTALLED AS PRESIDENT-ELECT OF AILA

SAN ANTONIO, TX - Kathleen Campbell Walker of El Paso, TX was installed as the President-Elect of AILA today during sessions of the association's 50th Annual Conference in San Antonio, TX. An expert in various areas of immigration law Campbell Walker has served as a leading AILA spokesperson on these issues.

Campbell Walker is the partner in charge of the immigration practice group of Kemp Smith LLP, headquartered in El Paso, TX. Her practice focuses on consular processing, admission issues, NAFTA, business and family-based immigration, healthcare related immigration, security related and biometric issues, and waivers. She has excelled in various capacities for AILA including testifying before Congress regarding the Homeland and Border Security Bills and serving as chair of numerous committees.

She serves as chairperson of the Immigration and Nationality Law Board Certification Exam Committee for the State Bar of Texas, as well as on the Advisory Committee. She has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America publication for immigration, since the area was recognized by the publication. In 2003 and 2004, she was named as a "Texas Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine for immigration. She is listed in the International Who's Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers as one of the leading Texas immigration practitioners, and she is a member of the International Bar Association's immigration section. Campbell Walker received her B.A. degree with highest honors from Texas Tech University and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
