CBP Issues Statement Regarding Death of a Mexican National Due to COVID-19

CBP issued a statement reporting the death of a Mexican national on 8/24/20 in a South Texas hospital. CBP apprehended the man, who informed agents he felt ill and had a fever, on 7/18/20. CBP transported the man to a local hospital where personnel determined that he was positive for COVID-19.
