USCIS Issues Clarification of Sought to Acquire Requirement under CSPA

USCIS clarified that USCIS considers the 2/14/23 policy change to be an extraordinary circumstance that may excuse the “sought to acquire” requirement under the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA) in particular situations. Guidance effective 8/24/23 and comments are due by 9/25/23.
