The AILA Central Florida Chapter welcomes you to the 2019 AILA Annual Conference in sunny Orlando! The Chapter has organized some exciting events. They will have a table in the Convention Center Mezzanine Level to answer questions about their events and what Orlando has to offer.

The AILA Central Florida Chapter is partnering with Immigrants’ List Civic Action to put on a two-night Film Festival. The Film Festival will run Wednesday from 7:00 pm–11:00 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm), and Friday from 4:00 pm–7:00 pm (doors open at 3:30 pm). The Festival will feature immigrant-related films and there will be movie-style popcorn, candy, and a cash bar. Admission to the Festival is $25 per night (proceeds benefitting Immigrants’ List Civic Action). Learn more detailed information and purchase tickets and sponsorships or contact with questions.

Tony Cook Memorial Golf Tournament

Participation limited to 40 golfers.

The AILA Central Florida Chapter invites you to play in this year's Tony Cook Memorial Golf Tournament at Falcon's Fire Golf Club, which is a Rees Jones Masterpiece recognized regionally and nationally as one of the finest public golf courses in Orlando, immaculately maintained.

The entrance fee ($175) will include transportation, breakfast, lunch, prizes, raffle items, and, of course, golf! The good times will be rolling, so don't regret missing it.

Proceeds will benefit the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS)*.

*For almost 30 years, Tony Cook served his country as a career officer in the U.S. Information Agency (USIA). Tony was a life-long member of the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) Foundation's Board of Trustees, and after retirement from the USIA, served as Director of the Foundation.

The AIFS Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1967, with the assistance of the late Senator Robert F. Kennedy. AIFS Foundation created the Tony Cook Memorial Grant to support high schools across the United States that display a commitment to international exchange. Each year, the Foundation awards 20 grants to high schools for projects, programs, and/or events that teach students about global awareness. AIFS is recognized as a leading provider of study abroad programs. Since 1964, over 1.5 million students have traveled abroad with AIFS.

Superheroes 5K Run for Justice

Saturday, June 22
6:30 am
Falcon's Fire Golf Club (2 miles from the Gaylord, transportation will be provided)

Participation limited to 200 runners.

This 5K early morning race (timed) will take you through paved trails at Falcon's Fire Golf Club, which is a Rees Jones Masterpiece, recognized as one of the finest golf courses in Orlando, immaculately maintained.

The registration fee is $25 for AILA Members, and $35 for non-AILA Members. T-shirts provided to all runners! Awards for the top-finishing three female and male runners.

Host Chapter Saturday Night Pub Crawl at Disney Springs

Saturday, June 22
Starting at 6:00 pm
The AILA Central Florida Chapter will lead you on a pub crawl through Disney Springs. Tour and taste Disney Springs' entertaining bars, where guests will hop among these one-of-a-kind establishments for drinks and appetizers. Pub crawlers will meet in the lobby of the Gaylord Palms (exact location TBD) and head over to Disney Springs together. Stay tuned for more details closer to the event.
