Members of Congress Seek Answers on H-1B Cap-Exemption for Teaching Hospitals

In response to concerns raised by the Conference of Boston Teaching Hospitals resulting from recent requests for evidence questioning the H-1B cap-exempt status of its member institutions, Senator John Kerry (D-MA), Senator Scott P. Brown (R-MA), and Representative Michael E. Capuano (D-MA) sent letters to Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano seeking information and clarification on any changes or proposed changes to USCIS’s definition or interpretation of “affiliation.”
