On 10/5/18, Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) introduced the Child Trafficking Victims Protection and Welfare Act (S. 3558) to which expands protections for vulnerable children in the custody of Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The House companion was introduced as H.R. 7047.
