VSC Update on Attorney Copies of Notices of Approval

In response to the many inquiries received and forwarded to the Vermont Service Center, Chris Stowe, Chair of the VSC Liaison Committee advises that VSC has identified 27,000 cases where attorneys were not provided a copy of the I-797, Notice of Approval on approved I-485 cases. The affected cases date back from November 2004 to present date.

Beginning today, VSC is generating copies of the NOA and sending it to the attorney of record. It is anticipated that all 27,000 copies will in the mail by the end of next week.

The suspected culprit causing the glitch is a national software update. This response is the decision of the Vermont Service Center and is not indicative of any resolution by the remaining Service Centers to address their affected cases.
