This list of 2023 Citizenship Day events includes information for aspiring citizens as well as for people interested in volunteering. It will be continuously updated, so check back to see more events as they are added.

Remote Opportunity

Partners: NALEO Educational Fund
When: Saturday, September 16, 2023
Where: NALEO will host a virtual U.S. naturalization eligibility screening clinic via its hotline, which community members can call and text for information on and assistance with the naturalization application process. Volunteer attorneys, other legal professionals, and law students affiliated with AILA will take their calls or answer their text messages to conduct the screening and refer them to existing opportunities for assistance with their applications. NALEO Educational Fund staff will be on hand to troubleshoot and will offer training in the days before September 16.
For volunteers: Volunteers must be able to communicate in English and Spanish. If interested in volunteering, please complete an interest form by September 5 to participate in this virtual screening workshop. Are you seeking help naturalizing? Need help now? NALEO Educational Fund operates a toll-free bilingual Spanish and English national hotline 1-888-839-8682 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday. The hotline is staffed by fully trained operators who are able to answer basic questions about the naturalization process and refer callers to application assistance resources in their communities.  People can text and speak with a live operator regarding any questions they may have about the requirements for obtaining U.S. citizenship or where to find assistance in their area.

Indiana
