The panelists for this beginner seminar will examine how to demonstrate extraordinary or outstanding ability for O-1A and EB-1 petitions in the sciences or business. They will discuss the current definition of “extraordinary” and “outstanding,” present ways to document the beneficiary’s abilities, and advise on strategies for presenting this information to USCIS in the most compelling manner.

Eligible participants can receive up to 1.8 CLE credit hours. AILA will administer CLE credit only to individuals who register and log into the web seminar. AILA cannot verify your attendance and participation in this program unless you register directly for the web seminar and use your name to log in to participate in the program. Therefore, persons who log in or listen in on the web seminar as part of a group will not be able to obtain CLE credit.

Ceridwen J. Koski is a Shareholder with Ogletree Deakins. She has chaired AILA’s Business Immigration Continuing Legal Education committees and contributed to USCIS Service Center Liaison Committees as well as AILA’s H-1B Registration’s Task Force. She is a current member of the Distance Learning Committee. Ms. Koski received her J.D from the University of Arizona College Of Law in 2006.

Rita Sostrin is a partner at Sostrin Immigration Lawyers, LLP in Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Sostrin focuses her practice on immigration of individuals of extraordinary abilities, including artists, entertainers, academics, and physicians. She is a regular speaker and writer on advanced immigration law topics. Ms. Sostrin has served on numerous AILA national committees, including the USCIS Headquarters Benefits Policy Committee and the California Service Center Liaison Committee, which she chaired for several years. She was selected as “Lawyer of the Year” in Immigration Law in Los Angeles by Best Lawyers of America, included in The International Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers as a “Thought Leader,” listed in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, and U.S. News & World Report Best Lawyers, and has been honored by AILA’s President’s Commendations for her outstanding contributions.

Amanda S. Brill, London, UK
Amanda S Brill is the Founder and Managing Attorney at Brill Immigration in London. She has practiced immigration law since 2005, and has extensive experience with a wide range of business-related immigration issues including consular processing. She earned her J.D. from Boston University. Ms. Brill is past Chapter Chair of AILA’s RDC-EMEA Chapter and has served on numerous AILA national committees including Chair of AILA University’s Consular Processing Course and Chair of the inaugural ACES conference in LA.
