Jeff Joseph (DL), AILA President-Elect, Denver, CO
Jeff currently serves as the President Elect on the Executive Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is a past Chapter Chair of the Colorado Chapter of AILA and served for 6 years as director on the AILA National Board of Governors. Jeff Joseph is a partner with Berry, Appleman, & Leiden (BAL) where he works with the government strategies team on litigation matters. Mr. Joseph is an adjunct professor of immigration law at the University of Denver College of Law. He is bilingual in Spanish.
Marketa Lindt, AILA Past President/Verification & Documentation Liaison Committee, Chicago, IL
Marketa Lindt, AILA’s President during 2020–2021, leads the business immigration practice at global law firm Sidley Austin LLP. Based in Chicago, Marketa works with U.S. and multinational corporations to develop best-in-class business immigration programs and leads the firm’s I-9 compliance practice. She has served on a range of AILA committees, currently as a member of the Verification Committee. Marketa is a frequent speaker on business immigration and compliance issues and has authored numerous articles for leading immigration texts.
Timothy D'Arduini, AILA Verification & Documentation Liaison Committee, Washington, D.C.
Timothy D'Arduini leads Klasko Immigration Law Partners’ Washington, D.C. office and advises multinational clients on a range of employment eligibility verification issues, immigration-related fraud investigations, worksite enforcement actions, and global right-to-work requirements. He develops protocols and policies, and oversees internal audits of employer protocols, that help mitigate risk. Tim also defends companies subject to administrative subpoenas, as well as in worksite enforcement actions (i.e., “raids,”), including matters involving potential civil and criminal liability to employers.
Julie Myers Wood, CEO, Guidepost Solutions, Washington, D.C.
Julie Myers Wood is the CEO of Guidepost Solutions. She has held several high-level positions with the U.S. government at four agencies (DOJ, DHS, Treasury and Commerce), as well as the White House. She is a former head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for DHS and currently serves on several nonprofit boards and advisory boards relating to national security and immigration. Ms. Wood is a graduate of Baylor University and Cornell Law School.
