Technology increasingly drives the modern law firm, touching every aspect of the practice from client experience to staff morale to case capacity. But for many attorneys, selecting the right software feels fraught with uncertainty and risk. The Innovation and Technology Committee has prepared an user-friendly checklist to address this issue – The Software Vendor Evaluation Checklist. Our discussion facilitators will walk through how to use this checklist to assess software vendors, with a focus on case management systems, to help members feel more confident in their selection process to overcome shiny object syndrome. The Innovation and Technology Committee works to fulfill the innovation-related goals set forth in the Strategic Plan in an effort to prepare and equip members with better tools to deliver legal services to their clients, provide easier and more timely access to essential information, and facilitate connection and community within AILA in a changing regulatory and technological environment.
