Preparing for Increased Vetting on Immigration Forms

Preparing for Increased Vetting on Immigration Forms

On May 2, 2025, AILA’s USCIS Benefits Policy Committee submitted comments opposing the collection of certain information and social media identifier(s) on immigration forms. These proposed collection activities are likely to impact AILA members and their clients. The roundtable will address:

  • Overview of the changes to information collection
  • Discussion of how members can prepare and respond to these changes

The USCIS Benefits Policy Committee monitors and identifies policy and legal issues related to immigration benefits at USCIS. Committee members often prepare comments in response to policy changes by the agency and publish resources to assist members in their practice.

AILA Video Roundtables are free interactive learning opportunities hosted by faculty selected for their expertise, with an emphasis on discussion and Q&A. This roundtable is not CLE eligible. The free recording will be available 7-10 business days following the live event.
