AILA Presents Russell Abrutyn with the 2011 Sam Williamson Mentor Award

SAN DIEGO, CA - The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) will award Russell Abrutyn, an immigration law practitioner at Marshal E. Hyman & Associates in Troy, MI, with the 2011 Sam Williamson Mentor Award for his steadfast dedication to guiding new lawyers through the complexities of immigration law. He will receive the award on June 16, 2011, during AILA's Annual Conference to be held in San Diego, CA.
Mr. Abrutyn serves on AILA's Amicus Committee and the State Bar of Michigan's Unauthorized Practice of the Law Committee. As a member of AILA's Amicus Committee, he was a co-recipient of the 2010 Jack Wasserman Litigation Award. He is a frequent speaker at AILA national conferences, but most notably, he is a mentor.
Recognized by AILA members for his positive attitude and desire to help new immigration attorneys better understand the law, Mr. Abrutyn is a dedicated mentor known for his prompt and respectful responses to questions.
Mr. Abrutyn graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School. He is licensed to practice in Michigan and Washington State and several federal courts.
