For Students

AILA offers free and discounted options for students to access course materials at prices far below the rates of other legal publishers.

Law Students

If you have been assigned an AILA publication as part of a law school course, you can access that title for free on AILA’s online legal research service AILALink by obtaining a complimentary law student membership.

To apply:

  1. Obtain a current, dated, unofficial transcript, class schedule, or letter from your registrar's office proving that you are currently enrolled at an accredited law school. Documents that do not contain adequate proof of current enrollment may delay your application.
  2. Create an AILA.org account and select "Prospective Applicant" in the "Person Type" field. If you already have an AILA.org account, you can apply online for law student membership.
  3. Follow instructions to complete the law student membership application.

Discounts for Other Students

AILA law student membership is limited to law students only (both full– and part-time). Students enrolled in paralegal, undergraduate, or LLM courses are not eligible; however, any student that is not able or willing to obtain law student membership may contact AILALink@aila.org org to purchase print and eBook materials on AILA Shop with a 30% off discount code and/or purchase AILALink at the discounted student rate of $75 for the duration of a course.

Please note: If a title was recently published, it may not yet be available on AILALink. See a complete list of the titles currently available on AILALink.

For Professors

AILA offers an extensive library of publications that are suitable texts for immigration classes and clinics. Visit AILA Shop to browse the catalog.
