NASHVILLE, TN - The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), in partnership with Justice for Our Neighbors of Tennessee (JFON) and the MidSouth Chapter of AILA, will host a pro bono clinic for area residents in need of legal advice regarding immigration concerns on Saturday, June 16th, beginning at 9:00am. Dozens of immigration attorneys will be available to answer questions and assess each participant's situation. The clinic will be held at the Hillcrest United Methodist Church and cases will be handled on a first come, first served basis.
This brief legal services clinic is being hosted in conjunction with AILA's 56th Annual Conference, being held this week at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. "While we are here in Nashville with almost 3,000 immigration experts, we want to give back to the local community and offer our services as a thank you for hosting us," said AILA Executive Director Crystal Williams.
Volunteer attorneys will meet one-on-one with participants to answer questions, make initial assessments, and recommend a course of action. All interested individuals are encouraged to attend this event, including members of the press.
