CRCL Issues Recommendations to CBP Concerning Alleged Nationality and Place of Birth Discrimination at the Blaine Port of Entry
CRCL provided a memo with analysis and recommendations after conducting seven investigations into operations at the Blaine port of entry, where allegations were made regarding nationality and place of birth discrimination after CBP held as many as 150 individuals for questions between January 3-5, 2020. CRCL provided investigation analysis and recommendations to the CBP, advising that CBP to provide additional training and amend its nondiscrimination policy statement.
