DHS and DOS Announce That the New Passport Card is Now Being Distributed

On 7/22/08 DOS and DHS announced today that the new U.S. Passport Card is in full production and is being distributed. The wallet-sized document can be used for land and sea travel between the U.S. and Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, and Bermuda. It is not valid for international travel by air.
