DOS Interim Rule Implements PATRIOT Act’s Special Immigrant Provisions

A DOS interim rule implements § 421 of the USA PATRIOT Act by creating a new visa classification ‘SP’ for certain victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and setting forth the eligibility requirements for the issuance of an immigrant visa in that category. (68 FR 24638, 5/8/03)
