DOS Final Rule Clarifying “Immediate Relative” Definition for Certain NIV Classifications

DOS final rule creating a regulatory exception to visa restrictions under applicable laws for compliance with UNHQA and also amends 22 CFR 41.21 and INA 212(d)(8) to clarify DOS’s definition of “immediate family” for certain NIV classifications. Rule is effective 11/6/13. (78 FR 66814, 11/6/13)
