Subject: A NEW FORM - DS-3032, CHOICE OF ADDRESS AND AGENT IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICANTS

Ref: None

---------------------------------------

1. The Department announces the introduction of a new form, Choice of Address and Agent for Immigrant Visa Applicants (DS-3032). Effective immediately, the National Visa Center (NVC) will send the form to the principal beneficiary of an immigrant visa petition at the same time that the I-864 is sent to the petitioner. The DS-3032 will allow the beneficiary to designate an address and agent (typically a relative, attorney, or community-based organization based in the U.S.) to which NVC should direct future communications. We anticipate that it will be more efficient for the agent to get information to the beneficiary than for NVC to attempt to do so. There is no requirement that the beneficiary designate an address and agent; the beneficiary may indicate on the DS-3032 that NVC should continue to send all communications directly to the beneficiary's address.

2. The DS-3032 is now available on the A/RPS/DIR Intranet site (http://99.1.1.27/)[see Please Note - 2]. It will soon be available on the Department's Internet site (www.state.gov).

3. MINIMIZE CONSIDERED.
