INS Increases the Immigration User Fee

INS has amended its regulations at § 286.2(a) by removing the specific immigration user fee amount of $6 and inserting a more general reference to the fee prescribed in INA § 286(d). The FY2002 budget bill for the agency raised the fee from $6 to $7. (67 FR 15333, 4/1/02)
