INS Interim Rule Assists Part-Time Commuter Students

INS interim rule allows Mexican and Canadian commuter students to study on a part-time basis, within the F-1 or M-1 nonimmigrant visa category, at schools located within 75 miles of the U.S. border. The rule took effect upon publication. Comments are due by 10/28/02. (67 FR 54941, 8/27/02)
