Treasury Implements Law Concerning Firearms and Nonimmigrants

The Treasury Department has implemented PL 105-277 prohibiting the transfer to and possession of firearms and ammunition by nonimmigrant aliens in the U.S. In addition, nonimmigrants bringing such items into the U.S. for hunting or sporting purposes must obtain an import permit. (67 FR 5422, 2/5/02)
