DHS Announces Streamlined Citizenship Application Process for Members of the Military

On 1/15/10, DHS announced the publication of a rule formalizing DHS' policy to expedite and streamline the citizenship process for men and women serving in America's armed forces. The rule amends DHS regulations to conform to the National Defense Authorization Act of 2004.
