USCIS Announces E-Verify Services Have Been Restored

USCIS announced that since E-Verify is now fully operational, employers must create an E-Verify case by January 11, 2021, for each employee hired while E-Verify was temporarily unavailable from January 4 to January 5, 2021. USCIS also provided instructions for resolving Tentative Nonconfirmations (TNCs) affected by the unavailability of E-Verify.

On January 5, 2021, USCIS announced that E-Verify is unavailable due to technical difficulties. In the meantime, USCIS has suspended the “three-day rule” for E-Verify cases affected by the unavailability (this does not affect Form I-9 requirements) and extended the time period for resolving TNCs.
