SAN DIEGO, CA - The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) will award Bernard Wolfsdorf of Wolfsdorf Immigration Law Group in Los Angeles, CA, the 2011 AILA Service Excellence Award in recognition of his outstanding service, over a period of years, in advancing the mission, development, and value of AILA for its members and the public it serves. He will receive the award on June 16, 2011, during AILA's Annual Conference to be held in San Diego, CA.
Over the years, Mr. Wolfsdorf has had a major impact on the practice of immigration law and he has demonstrated a long history of commitment to AILA. He is dedicated to AILA's mission of promoting justice, advocating for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy, and enhancing the professional development of its members. He has held numerous positions in AILA and has put in thousands of volunteer hours for the association and its members.
Mr. Wolfsdorf served as President of AILA from 2009 to 2010 after first being elected to national office in June 2004. His style of leadership has been one of guiding people to consensus and finding common ground. At the same time, he has kept his eye on AILA's goals and never flagged in his optimism and commitment. Mr. Wolfsdorf's deep sense of moral conviction, together with his good-hearted nature, inspired a vital and dynamic form of leadership. He worked tirelessly guiding AILA through a transition period when there was a change in executive directors, only the second one in AILA's history.
Mr. Wolfsdorf is Managing Partner of the top-rated Wolfsdorf Immigration Law Group with offices in Los Angeles and New York. With 17 lawyers and about 45 professionals, the firm is known worldwide for its excellence in providing top-quality global immigration representation.
