AILA joined Amnesty International USA, the American Immigration Council, Lawyers for Good Government, Human Rights First, and Texas Civil Rights Project in sending a letter following up on the Laredo tent court tour from January 24, 2020. In this letter, the organizations expressed concerns regarding the implementation of the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) and requested written confirmation of DHS’ policy for the program.
