AILA and Partners Send Letter Urging End to the Asylum EAD Clock

AILA and partner organizations sent a letter to DHS and DOJ urging USCIS and EOIR to eliminate the “asylum clock” in adjudicating asylum-pending applications for EADs, calling on the agencies to engage in rulemaking and remove the language from 8 CFR § 208.7(a)(2) that established the need to account for applicant-caused delays through an asylum clock.
