Executive Order Closes Executive Departments and Agencies 12/24-12/26/25

On 12/18/25, the President signed an Executive Order closing all federal executive departments and agencies on 12/24/25 and 12/26/25. Department and agency heads may require some offices to remain open or some employees to work on either or both days for reasons of national security, defense, or other public need.
